OUR R1 750 OFFER

How does the R1 750 quote comparison offer work?

  • iWYZE will pay you R1 750 in cash when:
    • you complete a car insurance quote with us and our quote – based on a like-for-like comparison (as defined under the General section of these Terms & Conditions) between your current insurance product against the iWYZE product and upon review of your submitted documentation – is more expensive than the premium you are paying for your car insurance with your current insurer; and
    • you do not accept any of our cover quoted.
  • You must obtain a quote for all cars on a policy schedule and all cars quoted on must be supported by a policy schedule.
  • This offer will be available for quotes from 8 June 2020.

What are the qualifying criteria for the R1 750 offer?

  • You must be an active policyholder with another short-term insurer other than Old Mutual Insure.
  • The policyholder must have had uninterrupted insurance cover without any vehicle claims with the same insurer in the last 36 months.
  • The regular driver of the car must have had continuous car insurance for at least the past 36 months.

How to participate in the campaign for the R1 750 offer?

  1. Contact iWYZE on 0860 110 858 for a personal car insurance quote if your car is currently insured by an insurer, other than Old Mutual Insure, that sells insurance to the public.
  2. We will request you to share your current short-term insurance policy schedule with us when:
    • we quote a higher premium than what you are currently paying;
    • you are currently insured for the last three years (without a break in cover) by the same insurer; and
    • you have had no vehicle claims during this period.
  3. Submit the following documents in its original PDF format via email to compare@iwyze.co.za:
    • your current policy schedule (not older than 30 days) within 30 days of receiving the quote from us; and
    • a claims history letter (not older than two days from the date of submission).
  4. Allow five to seven working days for the review of your supporting documentation and the outcome on our decision.

OUR R505 OFFER

How does the R505 quote comparison offer work?

  • iWYZE will pay you R505 in cash when:
    • you complete a car insurance quote with us and our quote – based on a like-for-like comparison (as defined under the General section of these Terms & Conditions) between your current insurance product against the iWYZE product and upon review of your submitted documentation – is more expensive than the premium you are paying for your car insurance with your current insurer; and
    • you do not accept any of our cover quoted.
  • You must obtain a quote for all cars on a policy schedule and all cars quoted on must be supported by a policy schedule. 
  • This offer will be available for quotes from 8 June 2020.

What are the qualifying criteria for the R505 offer?

  • You must be an active policyholder with another short-term insurer other than Old Mutual Insure.
  • The policyholder must have had uninterrupted insurance cover without any vehicle claims with the same insurer in the last 12 months.

GENERAL

What does a ‘like-for-like’ comparison mean?

It means the following are the same:

  • material underwriting information (including but not limited to the following risk information specific to a customer):
    • policyholder and/or regular driver’s personal information
    • vehicle make and model
    • incident history
    • sum insured
    • security features
    • risk address
    • use of vehicle
  • We will further try to match/better the following elements of the cover you have with your current insurer, subject to the product and underwriting specifications of the iWYZE product:
    • claim excess amount(s); and
    • cover selected, including additional and/or optional cover e.g. car hire, credit shortfall, specified accessories, SASRIA etc. but excluding cashback benefits.
  • Our comparison will include all payments made to brokers.

Who does not qualify for these pay-outs?

  • Any existing iWYZE customer who already holds a short-term insurance policy underwritten by Old Mutual Insure group, including iWYZE and its affiliated brands.
  • Any person who requests a car insurance quote for business use or business insurance.
  • Any person who has already received a payment for a quote comparison in the last 12 months.
  • Any policyholder of a policy where the regular driver of the car being quoted has had a vehicle claim since his/her last renewal.
  • Any person who has had a policy cancelled by iWYZE in the last 12 months.
  • Any person who is deemed an unacceptable risk as determined by our underwriting criteria.
  • iWYZE will not make more than one payment to any person who completes multiple individual quotes on the same or on separate cars for which our premium is more expensive than the current insurance premium.
  • iWYZE will try to match/better your premium, based on a like-for-like comparison against our product as described above, however, we reserve the right to decline payment if the product offering is materially different.

What happens if my premium cannot be matched or bettered?

  • We will compare your insurance premium as per your current policy schedule on a like-for-like basis, as defined under the General section of these Terms & Conditions, against our product and its underwriting specifications to try and match/better your premium. If the iWYZE quote is more expensive we will request your banking details and make payments to your bank account within five to seven working days from the date of the final decision made.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

What if my Insurer’s terms & conditions or product features differ from that of iWYZE?
A iWZYE undertakes to make a like-for-like comparison (as defined under the General section of the Terms & Conditions) to the closest match possible. However, if your current insurance product does not meet our product, it means you do not meet the qualifying criteria to participate in this campaign. This includes differences in excesses and added benefits. 

What does it mean to be claims-free? 
A This means that you have not submitted any claim to your insurer for losses or damage incurred over the last 12 months (applicable to the R505 offer) or 36 months (applicable to the R1 750 offer). Any claims, including claims for lost keys, windscreens, roadside assistance or claims which you submitted and later decided to withdraw will be considered by our underwriters as part of the evaluation process.

Q When will iWYZE let me know if I qualify for the payout?
A Our underwriters reserve the right to review your risk profile against the additional information provided in the supporting documents (as set out in the Terms & Conditions) and could potentially reduce your premium. Once you have sent the required documentation to Compare@iwzye.co.za, you will receive feedback on our final decision within five to seven working days). We will either offer you a lower premium or pay you out.  If we cannot match or better your premium, based on a like-for-like comparison against our product offering, we will confirm the payment date via an email to you.

Q If I have Buildings or Household Content insurance with iWYZE but my car is insured with another insurer, may I still participate in this campaign?
A Yes, you may obtain a quote for your car. All qualifying criteria still apply.

Q How soon after I have been paid out will iWYZE allow me to quote again?
A Our quotes are valid for 30 days, but you may obtain a quote at any time after your first quote request. However, you may not be able to participate in the payment campaign for 12 months from the date that we last made payment to you.

Q   If my annual policy review (renewal) is coming up and my policy schedule shows both the current and renewal premiums, which premium will iWYZE consider?        
A The comparison will be based on the premium reflected on your latest Policy Schedule (not older than 30 days). If both the current and renewal premiums are displayed, we will base our comparison on your renewal premium.
